It is off Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park which is the highest highway in America at over 12K feet. While this looks like my child could fall off the mountain, behind him are some climbing rocks and boulders that make this more of an optical illusion of danger! But it really is on top of the world. You Will Love TheseAt that elevation, that photo was taken in the early summer. There were still places with snowbanks over 12 feet tall. The plants grow so slowly at that altitude, it is important to stay on the trail because a smooshed plant could take years to regrow. P.S.
