If you have never been, it is right across from the White House and there is a path around the perimeter of the big tree that has a tree for every state that is decorated by a school from that state. Oh, and the Washington Monument happens to be just a little walk away... Let's Have Fun!My son had never visited DC before and it was really fun to watch him look around and recognize nearly EVERYTHING. One of the things we noticed when we travel overseas to places with much longer history is that there are things in place that generations and generations have recognized as landmarks, but DC is one of the few places in the US where that is true too.
